The opportunity


Right now, we have several opportunities for IT Customer Support Officers to join us in our End User Services Team within Transport for NSW. These positions are Temporary Fixed Term Opportunities for 12 months.


These positions will be based within Sydney CBD and will require flexibility to work in North Sydney when required. You MUST be able and willing to work from all offices listed above full time as this is a customer facing role.


Reporting into the IT Customer Support Team Leader, you will be the first point of contact and responsible for providing face-to-face end-user support to Transport employees including VIPs and answering ‘how to’ questions. You will be providing customer service across the business by resolving IT related issues and queries in a timely and efficient manner.


You will be involved in:

  • Promoting and educating clients on processes and providing technical support for IT issues
  • Assisting with technology issues and the set-up of meeting rooms
  • Identify and be alert to major incidents that may occur and ensure that they are raised through the standard channels for analysis and resolution.


About you


Essential requirements:

  • Experience in a customer service role, either providing technology support or with a strong interest in technology and ability to learn
  • Experience providing face-to-face or service desk IT customer support
  • Strong relationship skills and experience in collaborating across teams
  • Ability to facilitate resolution of issues
  • Ability to identify and solve problems


Salary and benefits


The salary for this position is Transport Grade 6 ($94,879 to $104,367) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
